While an FIR has been filed against the BJP MP, no legal action has been taken so far. The wrestlers had met with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on June 7, who had reportedly assured them of a speedy police investigation into the matter. The Union Minister had set June 15 as the deadline for the completion of the probe. The Delhi Police is expected to file the chargesheet in the sexual assault case today.
